Chesser comes to CF&W from Sterling Bancshares where he served as Senior Vice President and Controller. At Sterling, Chesser managed the financial accounting, reporting and control processes and participated as a member of the senior financial management team developing and executing strategies to improve financial metrics and trends. He also played a strategic role in due diligence, structuring and integration of bank acquisitions.

Previously, Chesser served as a Senior Audit Manager with Deloitte & Touche LLP. During his 11 years at the firm, Chesser provided auditing and advisory services including mergers & acquisitions structuring and due diligence, compensation planning and tax planning assistance to clients in the financial services, manufacturing and oilfield services industries. Chesser is a CPA and a graduate of Lamar University.
